The construction work, which will lead to lane closures and shifting, is focused around exits 24 to 26, culminating at Exit 27A.
DOT advises drivers to anticipate these changes and exercise caution when passing through.
The construction will continue from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. through Friday.
