Ice and snow are coating many areas north of the Merritt and Wilbur Cross Parkways Tuesday during the latest round of winter weather.

Newtown and Monroe saw more snowfall than the lower portion of Fairfield County, but most of the state is seeing icy coatings on roadways.

 

Many school districts closed school throughout the state Tuesday because of the icy road conditions.
