There are Bronx residents still reeling from the damages of Ida who were bracing themselves for another storm Monday.
Barbara Monge is a single mother, with a 1-year-old daughter, who’s been living in her building for eight years.
When her home was flooded during Ida last month, she moved into a shelter provided by the Red Cross while her management company, Progressive Management, repairs the damages.
However, she can only stay in the shelter until the end of the month. She says her apartment is still not finished.
She says when she asked Progressive Management if it could transfer her to another unit, it said it has too many families to deal with.
Monge says she is scared that this storm will leave her even more stranded.
News 12 reached out to Progressive Management for a statement and hasn't heard back yet.
