Fire officials are investigating the latest in a string of suspicious fires that have engulfed abandoned homes in Bridgeport.

A fire that broke out on Saturday night on Colorado Avenue marked the fifth time in a week that flames broke out in a vacant house in the city.

Investigators say it's too early to tell if the latest fire was arson, but they have deemed it suspicious.

On Christmas Eve, four homes around the city went up in flames. The body of a homeless man was found inside one of the vacant homes.

Investigators have not yet determined if all of the fires are related.

Anyone with information is being urged to call the Connecticut Arson Tip Hotline at 1-800-842-7766.
