One man is in custody in connection with a bank robbery in Norwalk last week.
Police say Isaiah Gary, 32, held up the First County Bank on Westport Avenue Thursday. They say Gary handed a teller a note demanding money and made his getaway on a red bicycle.
The arrest was made Wednesday morning at the Norwalk Westport Motel.
Police say after searching the neighborhood, Gary matched the description of the bank robber and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
They say Gary tried to escape arrest by climbing onto the roof of the motel, but they found him in a car behind the motel.
Gary was charged with first-degree robbery and second-degree larceny. His bond is set at $230,000, and he is expected to appear before a judge Thursday morning.
