For the third year, Sterling Road in Trumbull has been transformed into
Santa's runway for a good cause.
Over 15,000 lights line the road.
Neighbors started decorating their homes in 2020.
More than 100 homes now participate.
While people are able to drive around for free, donations are encouraged.
At several homes, there are QR codes for people to donate to the Trumbull Social Services.
Donations will go toward their food pantry and senior services, along with helping families experiencing financial hardships. There is also
GoFundMe.
"It just brings joy to people. It's taking off to a different level. It has turned into a place to visit. I just wanna put smile smiles on people's faces," says Zoli Szabo, a co-founder.
The lights will be lit until Jan. 1
