A fridge and many random items sit in the pond of the Wilton Family YMCA. Picnic tables can be found all over the outskirts of the property.

The community center was forced to close their building on Sunday when the Norwalk River flooded their property.

"We also can't let those who are more impacted in their houses come here because we couldn't stop what was happening. So it was certainly something I never felt before." said Wilton YMCA's COO Samantha Lusher.

The Y reopened its doors on Tuesday providing members access to indoor facilities but all outdoor facilities are closed for the season.

"It's going to take a lot of time and money to get all that fixed to make sure we have a season," anticipated Lusher.
