A local rowing club is honoring a hometown hero in Norwalk.
Brookfield native Kelsey Reelick won two national championships with the Connecticut Boat Club.
The Princeton grad earned a seat in this summer’s 2024 Paris Olympics, helping her team finish fifth in a tight race on the biggest stage in the world.
"Rowing takes a lot of time and training," executive director Liz Trond says. "For someone to have graduated high school 2010 and college 2014, and continue working in the sport at an extremely high level and then make the Olympic team 10 years later in 2024, it’s just incredible."
Sen. Bob Duff issued a proclamation on behalf of Reelick's accomplishments.
