Jennifer Dulos' late father's estate is suing Fotis Dulos' criminal attorney Norm Pattis over a $250,000 retainer.
The suit aims to get the remainder of the $250,000 retainer Dulos paid Pattis to defend him.
According to the lawsuit, the money is needed to help settle the debt Fotis owed his in-laws.
In a statement, the attorney representing Pattis called the lawsuit "frivolous" and vowed to fight it vigorously.
Fotis was accused of murdering his estranged wife Jennifer Dulos, of New Canaan, who went missing in May of 2019.
Fotis maintained his innocence until he died after an attempt to take his own life in January.
Jennifer has never been found.
