Kris Boyd, a cornerback on the New York Jets, was shot in the abdomen and taken to Bellevue Hospital in Manhattan early Sunday morning, according to multiple published reports.

The New York Post reported that it happened outside Sei Less restaurant following a dispute.

Police told News 12 that they received a call around 2 a.m. at the restaurant's location and found a 29-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his abdomen. He was taken to Bellevue Hospital in critical but stable condition.

Police did not identify the victim as Boyd and did not have a description of the shooter.

Boyd is his first season with the Jets after signing a one-year deal in free agency. He has yet to play due to a season-ending shoulder injury sustained in the preseason.
