Police in New Canaan are investigating the theft of $100,000 worth of jewelry from a home.
Officers say someone broke in through the basement of the home on New Norwalk Road.
They say the person stole the jewelry from the master bedroom between 12 p.m. and 5 p.m. Friday.
Police say the woman who owns the jewelry said she recently had work done inside the house, but no one was inside the day of the robbery.
