A Jewish temple in Westport opened its doors this morning to members of a church that was devastated by a fire late last year.
After members of the Saugatuck Congregational Church lost their building to a fire last November, Temple Israel offered its sanctuary so churchgoers would have a place to worship.
Church officials say they've planning to rebuild and they've hired an architect, but they're still working out details with the insurance company.
Church members don't think they'll have a new building by next Easter, but they hope to finish it within two years.
