A 57-year-old man has been arraigned following charges after police say he fatally punched a 74-year-old man during a fight over an elevator in the Bronx.
Joaquin Feliciano was arraigned Monday where a judge set his bail to $100,000.
Police say 74-year-old Felix Rodriguez died following a fistfight with Feliciano at 2824 University Ave. on Sunday. Officials say Rodriguez threw the first punch, but Feliciano allegedly swung back and knocked him out.
Police say they found Rodriguez lying unconscious on the floor of the elevator. He was pronounced dead at Allen Pavilion Hospital.
Neighbors say Feliciano is a former Marine and is the father of a 3-year-old boy.
Neighbors also say Rodriguez, the victim, was a registered sex offender. A search of his name in the state's database found a picture that neighbors say is the same man.
