Jonathan Cubit visits students in Stamford

News 12 Meteorologist Jonathan Cubit visited students at Northeast Elementary School in Stamford Wednesday.
Jonathan spoke to 90 kindergarten students.
He also went live with students during News 12's newscast.
Kindergarten student Laura Kanel says students just finished learning about the weather and were excited to meet Cubit.
"This was an amazing opportunity for the kids to see everything we've learned about and then also meet a real life meteorologist and have that real life experience. Their reaction to just the different kinds of storms and things we have learned and just their overall excitement about weather and this definitely helped wrap up our unit nicely," says Kanel.
Kanel says students love figuring out the day's weather and seeing if they can work outside or go out to recess
