Najhim Luke is facing a number of charges, including second-degree murder, manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon.
Back in 2020, just days after Brandon's high school graduation, police say he was fatally shot by a stray bullet.
The jury deliberated for hours Friday ending the day without a verdict.
