The John F. Kennedy boys basketball team beat Herbert H. Lehman Tuesday on the road to gain a 13-0 regular season record.The Lions were up 21-12 in the first half, thanks to nine points scored by Armand Thomas. Knights players rallied, including Anthony Johnson. He scored seven points in the first half to tie the game at 31 by halftime.
Lehman again pulled ahead in the third quarter. Lions player Aaron Barnes scored an impressive 23 points, including a three-pointer. His efforts fell short.
Knights player Taaj Ridley led his team with 12 points in the game, giving Kennedy a 74-69 win."We started off kinda slow, but at halftime, the coach gave us a speech," Ridley said. "He said, 'Come out and play hard.' And we did."
