Republican challenger Kristy Marmorato declared victory Tuesday night in the City Council 13th District over incumbent City Council Member Marjorie Velazquez.

Republican Kristy Marmorato has declared victory in the race for the City Council seat in District 13 against incumbent City Council Member Marjorie Velazquez, though the race had not been called as of Wednesday morning.

News 12's Marisa Marcellino was at the Bronx Democratic HQ, where Velazquez's campaign held their watch party for the race.

News 12's Katelynn Ulrich was at Brewski's Bar & Grill in Throgs Neck, where Marmorato's team rallied behind their candidate.
