Bridgeport and Fairfield leaders are expected to speak out this morning against United Illuminating's monopole project.
The Connecticut Siting Council's final vote, originally set for Thursday, could now be delayed.
Gov. Ned Lamont said Tuesday no compromise has been reached, but talks with UI are ongoing.
"We're not going to let UI rush into a bad decision," Lamont said.
He added that UI would not oppose a delay and both sides will meet Friday to discuss alternatives.
