Tenants protested outside housing court Thursday as the landlord known as the "worst" in the city agreed to fix violations.
The tenants say they have been trying to get their landlord, Ved Parkash, to fix deplorable conditions at their building located at 750 Grand Concourse for months. The tenants say the building has leaky faucets, crumbling walls and ceilings, and mold. They say court is their last resort.
Parkash was named "the worst landlord" in the city by the Public Advocate's Office. In January, Parkash denied the accusations.
The tenants came to court with legal representation to help fight for their rights.
