12h agoThe largest robotics competition ever held in Connecticut is wrapping up Tuesday at Total Mortgage Arena in Bridgeport.
The VEX Robotics V-5 State Championships are taking place again Tuesday, which is the last day of the two-day competition.
More than a hundred middle and high school robotics teams from all over the state are competing for the title of state champ. Spectators will witness intense competition as student-built robots navigate complex challenges. One of the teams is from Monroe. These future engineering students say they are learning a lot.
"It also incorporates programming, building, designing, online things like CAD and like structural analysis and so it’s really helpful in all areas and we learn a lot through it," said Masuk High Senior Grace Lein.
Students are learning skills here that will help them in their careers. Qualifying teams will head to the VEX Robotics World Championship.
