Recreational marijuana advocates urged Connecticut lawmakers Tuesday to make the drug fully legal.
Right now, only medical marijuana is legal in the state.
Lawmakers listened to input that stated legalizing marijuana could bring in $50 million to the state. Dan Pabon, a lawmaker in Colorado, spoke about how successful the legalization of pot has been in his state.
As of now, the issue isn't even up for a vote in the General Assembly. Gov. Dannel Malloy said he opposes the legalization of marijuana.
