Amazon is facing another lawsuit over its workplace practices. A former employee alleges the company failed to give 30-minute meal breaks to workers at one of its California fulfillment centers. It claims that employees who did receive proper breaks were required to monitor their walkie-talkies, which cut into their break times. The former employee claims Amazon’s shifts were “chronically understaffed,” which affected workers taking 10-minute breaks.
Warner Brothers will begin releasing its films exclusively in theaters again starting next year. The new deal with Regal’s parent company, Cineworld, will end Warner’s HBO Max Experience where the company releases its movies simultaneously and in theaters. The agreement will shorten Regal’s exclusivity window from 90 days to 45. When Regal reopens, the chain will begin playing Warner Bros. movies like “Kong vs. Godzilla” and “Mortal Kombat.”
Online traveling sites such as Expedia-owned VRBO and AirBnB are seeing a boost as the United States ramps up vaccine efforts. AirBnB sees its shares jump over 20% this year, while shares of Expedia are surging more than 30%. Airline and hotel stocks are also soaring. Travel experts say places including the Jersey Shore, northern Arizona and Florida are some of the hot spot travelers are flocking to.
