Homeowners across southwestern Connecticut are reporting flooded basements and leaky roofs following a string of rainy days.
A damaged home could cost up to $20,000 to repair, according to workers.
At one house in Greenwich, construction workers spent days removing moisture from wood floors and replacing water-damaged walls after clogged gutters led to flooding in the basement.
Joseph Pelli, of Servpro, says that his company has had between 40 and 50 jobs in Greenwich in the last 24 hours due to the rain.
