Crews and equipment from the Connecticut Department of Transportation are in Washington, D.C. and Maryland to help with snow removal from last weekend's snowstorm.
A crew of 16 men left the state DOT yard in Darien around midnight.
A DOT transportation manager says the crews will be in Maryland for the next few days.
Another Connecticut DOT crew from Wethersfield is in Washington to help them dig out.
