Local groups to receive grants for opioid treatment, education programs
Grants of nearly a $1 million are on the way to western Connecticut agencies on the front lines of the opioid crisis.
According to the state's congressional delegation, five local groups will receive grants of roughly $175,000 each for treatment and education programs.
The awards are part of a $200 million nationwide grant program.
The announcement was made Monday.
