With the holiday party season in full swing, Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) officials are out to remind that now is the time to be mindful of the dangers of drinking and driving.
MADD'S national president, Glynn Birch, appeared at Stratford Town Hall Monday to talk about the organization?s new campaign titled "Tie One On For Safety." The campaign is an effort to remind people that with the holidays right around the corner it's OK to celebrate as long as a designated driver is chosen.
MADD, along with state and Stratford Town officials, tied MADD ribbons on emergency vehicles. According to MADD statistics, Connecticut is one of the worst states when it comes to DUI fatalities.
