Snacks can be a guilty pleasure. But in this week's Made in Connecticut, News 12 visited a company in Danbury where snacks are a LesserEvil.
LesserEvil’s popcorn is placed into biodegradable bags and boxed. Today, the company makes other snacks as well.
The company was started in 2005 by actor Gene Hackman and “Mad Money's” Jim Cramer as a better-for-you snack company.
Corey Benson, the company's general manager, says LesserEvil’s popcorn is air popped so it doesn't get any fat added to it when it's popping. He says this gives the popcorn a lower calorie count and makes it a healthier version of popcorn.
