Gov. Dannel Malloy on Friday urged residents, businesses and local governments to reduce water usage by 15 percent in response to the state's first-ever Drought Watch.
The Connecticut Interagency Drought Workgroup says this is the state's first-ever Drought Watch, signaling moderate to severe drought conditions.
Officials say that reduction advisories will remain in effect until the drought watch is lifted.
