A Bridgeport man accused of having hundreds of bags of heroin and an illegal weapon faced a judge Wednesday.
After a six-month investigation, Fairfield police arrested Christian Pichardo, 20, in the parking lot of Kohl's on Tunxis Hill Road Tuesday.
Authorities say they confiscated 300 bags of heroin as well as a loaded pistol that did not have a serial number from Pichardo's home at 26 Staples St.
Police say they also seized two of his vehicles and $3,000.
Investigators say though Pichardo lives in Bridgeport, he was dealing drugs mostly in Fairfield, which is why Fairfield police led the investigation with help from Bridgeport investigators.
A judge set Pichardo's bond at $75,000 and he's due back in court in two weeks.
