A man has been charged following a police chase that started in Bridgeport and ended in Norwalk Sunday night.
Officers say they chased Tracy Edwards, 41, down I-95 and all over East Norwalk. They say they responded to a call of a woman being pistol-whipped at a Bridgeport convenience store.
Officials say Edwards led them to Exit 16 off the interstate, then to Osborne Avenue, where he allegedly slammed into parked cars and a Norwalk police cruiser in pursuit.
News 12 is told that Edwards continued to the parking lot of Fiesta Mexico restaurant, where he got of his car and ran onto the train tracks near the East Norwalk train station. Trains were stopped in the area while police chased down and caught Edwards.
Edwards was charged with reckless driving, interfering with an officer and driving with a suspended license.
