Man charged with attempted murder after hatchet attack
A Bridgeport man has been charged with attempted murder after police say he hit a woman multiple times in the head with a hatchet. Investigators say 42-year-old Pagan Berrocales attacked his ex-girlfriend.

A Bridgeport man has been charged with attempted murder after police say he hit a woman multiple times in the head with a hatchet.
Investigators say 42-year-old Pagan Berrocales attacked his ex-girlfriend.
They say the brutal assault took place at the victim's home on Friday morning.
"It was a domestic dispute," says Bridgeport Police Capt. A.J. Perez. "She was trying to leave and he didn't want her to leave. He picked up a hatchet and struck her nine times in the head."
