A 72-year-old was critically injured in a serious hit-and-run in Roslyn Heights on Tuesday night.
Nassau County police said the man was crossing Mineola Avenue near Woodward Street when an unknown vehicle hit him and fled the scene around 9:15 p.m., police said.
The pedestrian sustained serious physical injuries and was taken to a hospital, where he is listed in critical condition, according to officials.
Investigators haven't released any information about the vehicle involved.
