(AP) - Authorities say a 21-year-old NewMilford man died of hypothermia after his car crashed into asnowbank as he fled police.
An autopsy concluded Daniel Hildebrandt died after his caroverturned and shattered a window, leaving him buried in snow thatfilled the car's interior.
New Milford police say they tried to pull him over for speedingaround 2 a.m. Friday, but that he fled and crashed shortly beforethey caught up with him.
Authorities have not said how long Hildebrandt was buried in thesnow or how long it took to remove him from the vehicle. Toxicologytests were not complete later Friday.
The crash remains under investigation.
