Police in Fairfield are asking for the public's help identifying the man who they say held up a bank Friday morning.
Police say it happened at 9:30 a.m. at the Webster Bank on the Post Road.
They say the man passed the teller a note demanding cash and did not show a weapon. No one was hurt.
The money bag contained a red dye pack, which exploded after the man left the bank, according to officials. They say they believe the suspect has a tattoo on the left side of his neck and made his getaway in a maroon car. He may also be covered in red dye.
The FBI is reportedly involved in the investigation as well.
Police say the bank will remain closed as they continue to investigate.
Anyone with information is asked to call Fairfield police.
