The man who took his life by jumping off the I-95 bridge at Exit 9 in Stamford Wednesday has been identified as Sal Buchetto.

He retired as a science teacher from Cloonan Middle School, located on West North Street in Stamford, four years ago. The principal says Buchetto was still deeply connected with the school.

News 12 has learned that his wife and other relatives still work there.

A wake and memorial service will be held for Buchetto at the school on Sunday at 2 p.m. It will be open to the public.
