A knife-wielding intruder held an 84-year-old Bronx woman in her apartment for two and a half hours Monday, police say.
Police say the victim was on her way home from church around 10:15 a.m. when a robber pushed her inside her apartment door.
They say the man took out a knife and stayed in the victim's apartment for two and a half hours.
The victim's son says his mother offered to make the man a sandwich, and when she did so, she was able to make her escape.
Officials say the thief got away with $200 and a bottle of brandy.
Police say the suspect is a black man who is around 6 feet tall. Surveillance video shows the suspect wearing a black leather jacket and a black hat at the time of the robbery.
