A man from Bridgeport who suffers from a serious illness is facing homelessness, and he says it's all because of a bureaucratic error by the Social Security Administration.
Lomar Gaskin says the agency admitted it made a mistake that ended up eliminating his benefits for an entire year.
Everything Gaskin owns is packed in boxes, and he says he has no idea where he will go when his family is evicted.
“This has messed with my manhood,” says Gaskin. “I'm proud to say I am a married man, and God blessed me with a wife to be able to take care of her. It seems like the help that I had has now been taken away from me. I need to secure a place for me and my wife and my child to come to.  I'm like in awe, I'm so numb right now, I don't know what to do."
Gaskin says Social Security promised to restore his benefits, but that could still take a while longer.
