(AP) -- A private college in New York has canceled classes because of an anonymous online threat.
The Poughkeepsie Journal reports (http://pojonews.co/1iZ04gO) that Marist College has canceled all Friday classes until further notice.
An alert from the college says students who live on campus should stay in their residence halls.
Marist College officials say the threat was posted on Twitter. No details have been released on the specifics of the threat.
Marist is a liberal arts college with about 5,500 undergraduates and 840 graduate students. It's about 80 miles north of New York City.
