A University of Connecticut student from Milford will be remembered in a memorial service at Walnut Beach tomorrow, two years after he was killed in a fight at UConn.
Officials say 21-year-old Jafar Karzoun, a junior at the college, was killed after being punched in the head from behind.
Karzoun's attacker has been sentenced to four-and-a-half years in prison.
The family will hold a memorial at Walnut Beach tomorrow to dedicate a bench with a bronze plaque in Karzoun's honor.
The event will start at 11 a.m. at 113 East Broadway and is open to the public.
