Metro-North trains could soon be connecting to Penn Station in New York after a plan was approved by the Metropolitan Transportation Authority.
The $743 million proposal is part of an overall transit improvement plan to take place over the next five years.
Officials say the New Haven line would use tracks already in use by Amtrak.
