A new chapter in the decades-long Michael Skakel case will begin next week.
The Kennedy cousin is due in state Supreme Court in Hartford Wednesday morning.
Skakel was freed on a $12 million bond more than two years ago.
A judge granted Skakel a new trial in the 1975 death of Greenwich teenager Martha Moxley after he served more than 11 years of his 20-years-to-life prison sentence.
Prosecutors are now asking for the new trial.
The Connecticut Supreme Court will consider claims by state prosecutors that Skakel did get fair representation during his murder trial.
Skakel claimed that his lawyer at the time, Mickey Sherman, had failed to give him an adequate defense.
