Two local shopping malls are cutting down on their operating hours as a response to the economic crisis.
The Westfield Connecticut Post and Trumbull malls announced that effective March 1 they will be closing a half hour earlier and opening a half hour later from Monday through Friday.
Mall officials say that with stores going out of business and sparse crowds, they were forced to make the change.
