A new park in Milford was dedicated Saturday to United States Marine Corporal Jordan Pierson, who died serving in Iraq.
Many attended the ceremony to celebrate Pierson?s life and dedication including members of his Marine platoon, family, friends and other invited guests. Pierson, a Milford resident, was killed while fighting Iraqi insurgents in Fallujah in 2006.
During the ceremony, Pierson?s family unveiled a plaque in the middle of the park. His parents talked about how the park, where their son used to play when he grew up, would help Pierson?s name live on forever.
