Milford Mayor Ben Blake says he is calling on the state to review the license for a planned marijuana dispensary in the city.

Blake is asking the Department of Consumer Protection to look at regulations involving where the facility can be placed.

 

The state has approved distribution centers for 255 W. River St. and 318 New Haven Ave.

Blake says that location conflicts with state law because it is less than 1,000 feet away from a school, church and child care facility.

He also called on state officials to work more closely with local municipalities in deciding where the dispensaries should be located.
