The mother of one of the victims of Wednesday?s shooting in Stamford revealed details of the incident to News 12 Connecticut Friday in hopes others will come forward with information that will make an arrest.
Police say the shooting occurred after a fight broke out between several young men. Crystal Mitchell says she witnessed much of the altercation. She received a phone call alerting her about the fight and rushed to Colahan Street.
Mitchell says she tried to break up the fight and then heard shots fired. She saw some of the participants take off and says that?s when her son was physically attacked and pushed to the ground. He is recovering from the facial injuries he incurred.
Mitchell now says she's on a mission to unite mothers against violence. However, police have had a difficult time getting witnesses to come forward. They urge anyone with information to call 203-977-4444.
