A mother is reportedly suing the city of Bridgeport and its police department in connection with her son's death.

The Connecticut Post newspaper says the mother, Cheryl Anderson, claims her son David's death last month was tied directly to a police chase.

Anderson says her son's SUV was hit by a car driven by the suspect as police chased him.

David Anderson was ejected from the SUV and killed.

The suspect, 20-year old Geraldo Maldonado, is currently behind bars.
