A local motorcycle club is doing its part to help feed the homeless in Bridgeport.

The True Riders came together this weekend under the bridge on John Street -- one of the most popular spots in the city for passing out food.

According to organizers, the outreach effort fills a vital need and never fails to attract a crowd. 

Organizers say the government has cut funding for programs that serve low-income families and individuals, making efforts like this one more crucial than ever.
