A Torrington man died Saturday night following a crash between a car and motorcycle.
It happened just after 10 p.m on Winsted Road at the intersection with South Road.
Police say Jesse Christiano, 27, was traveling south on Winsted Road when he pulled over to the shoulder area. Police believe he either tried to turn onto South Road or make a U-turn and head north on Winsted Road when he was struck head-on by a driver traveling south on Winsted Road.
Christiano was thrown from his motorcycle and was found unconscious with serious life-threatening injuries.
He was taken to Hartford Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The driver was not injured during the crash.
Winsted Road was closed for several hours but has since reopened.
Torrington Police Department's Accident Investigation Team is investigating the crash. Anyone with information or video surveillance is asked to contact Detective Segui or Torrington Police at 860-489-2000.
