There is an update in the case of the nanny accused of burning a child in Danbury.
Jurors reportedly will not be involved in her trial.
As News 12 previously reported, police say Lidia Quilligana was caught on a hidden camera beating and burning a 3-year-old girl and the girl's 1-year-old twin siblings last year.
Prosecutors say she also ripped the hair out of the children's heads.
The News-Times reports Quilligana elected yesterday to have a judge, not a jury, hear and review arguments in the case.
