Navy veteran Thomas Holder opened a new business ahead of Memorial Day weekend.

Lyfe Stylez Clothing & Apparel by SnapBack King is based in Bridgeport. The store features hats, tank tops and work gear.

Holder says his reason for opening the store is to serve his community.

"You come here; you're not just buying something -- you're buying into a lifestyle. If you look good, you feel good. When I turned 18, I went into the U.S. Navy. I went right in after Desert Storm,” he said. "Shout out to U.S.S. Dwight D. Eisenhower, CVN-69 -- all of our vets salute you and everybody that's putting in the hard work."

Holder is dedicating his grand opening celebration to fallen U.S. service personnel.

His business is located at 340 Granfield Ave. near Success Village in Bridgeport.
